Wood Chickens
Wood Chickens is a psychedelic cowpunk band from Madison, Wisconsin with authentic roots in country music and a raw, punk-like energy. The band originally formed in the tiny town of Milton, Wisconsin by high school friends Alex Reilly and Griffin Pett. Together they moved the band to Madison in 2013 to escape the monotony of life in a farming community. To date, Wood Chickens have self-released two albums and has been touring through America’s heartland in 2015 with percussionist Justin J. Johnson, whom had just returned to his home state of Wisconsin after touring nationally with a Nashville-based rockabilly act. The trio is yearning to take to the road with their fresh, energetic and eclectic musical styles. Their unique twist of genres past and present, typically leaves their audiences wondering what will come next.
