Ginger Johnson, a pioneer in the arena of women and craft beer, will return to Iowa this summer. Join us at Lefty’s for BeerSense, a tasting event that will broaden your awareness and appreciation of beer and food together.
Ginger will guide attendees through the art of tasting, explaining techniques for the full sensory experience of beer. You’ll learn beer flavor elements and how to pair foods with your beer.

An expert on marketing, the customer experience, and female buyers, Ginger Johnson has addressed a number of audiences, varying in makeup and size. She delivered her first TED talk in April 2015 and has been featured on various radio programs, including National Public Radio. She has also produced a weekly live radio program, BeerRadio, for the past four years and appeared in the award-winning documentary, “The Love of Beer.” She currently lives in Oregon, but spent a portion of her life in Iowa, and started up a company, Women Enjoying Beer, while living in Ames.
