Little BIG Fest is an annual festival featuring roots, singer-songwriter, bluegrass, jam, world, blues, jazz, and soul music. As with all DMMC events, local artists are heavily featured, though artists from around the U.S. also perform at the festival. In addition to the 11 committee-selected bands, there is also a community-selected artist determined from an online public poll.
The Des Moines Music Coalition is a non-profit organization committed to building a stronger and more diverse music community in greater Des Moines. Our mission is to aggressively advocate, sponsor, and develop an independent, progressive live music community for the purpose of urban revitalization, regional economic development, and the retention of our region’s youth and future.
Little Big Fest is made possible with support from the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Bravo Greater Des Moines, Traveler Beer Company, Tallgrass Brewing Company, Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Altoona, KFMG 98.9 FM – Des Moines, and Saturday Mfg.

October 3: $20
October 17: $25
Day-of: $30
Access to the show at Lefty’s is free with a pass (ages 21+ only), or can be purchased separately at the door for $10.
