Mountain Sprout (Eureka, Arkansas)- has the look of wild all over them in their long beards and smoke and drink while they play attitudes. It is a potent combination and it works. The group plays wild and loose too, sawing fiddles or trashing banjos. They inject their funny songs about weed smoking and beer drinking and fight causing with fervor and a sense of believability.

Jacob County & The Damaged Goods – is an explosive and energetic 4 piece from Des Moines, Iowa. As a native of Iowa, Jacob County only thinks it fair that The Damaged Goods be considered the pioneers of “corn punk”, which is his interpretation of mixing traditional rock ‘n’ roll with elements of punk, beat up country, rockabilly, blues and some traditional folk/bluegrass.
Cedar County Cobras – The music has been described as contagious, acoustic rockabilly, dancing bluegrass,or brand new old-time country with the gritty sound of soulful blues. It is almost impossible to box the sound of The Cobras into one musical genre. Just know that you should be prepared to bring your dancing shoes and party with this musical troupe made up by two blind brothers from the electric rock band Porch Builder and a woman mandolin player rooted in bluegrass and rock n’ roll. This project features original music written by lead vocalist Tom Spielbauer (fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist), George Spielbauer is behind the driving rhythm of the Cobra sound on the jumbo guitar, and April Dirks tears it up on the mandolin and plays the parlor guitar. These folks come together from two musical families blending the sound of gravel road rock n’ roll with a mandolin and fiddle to bring you Iowa’s newest acoustic string band.
