New Music Monday – Free Show with:
Liz de Lise
Liz de Lise plays dreamy folk pop. She builds intricate, ambient guitar and vocal soundscapes that feature her intimate, honest lyrics. She is touring the US in the fall with her collaborator, Mark Watter.
“…de Lise has developed her sound into something more cerebral – yet no less catchy…she has two chief collaborators: Mark Watter on bass and vocals…and a tight network of effects pedals and loopers, which she works with skill and finesse…The set swallows you in sound, with layers of vocal rounds floating alongside askew lead guitar reminiscent of St. Vincent’s Annie Clark.”

Joel Monroe Band
Joel Monroe (age 21) of Iowa has unleashed a wave of garage/blues rock into today’s time, with roaring guitar licks and vocal melodies, aided by loud and proud fuzzy amps. His music will tear you in half, then stitch you back up! Bringing back the past of raw, raunchy, and lo-fi garage rock, Joel Monroe is a character who was born in the right place, just the wrong time. Prepare yourself, this is one frontman you don’t want to ignore. The Joel Monroe Band is: Anthony Yoder, Jasmina Bonilla, & Joel Monroe.
