Patrick Hazell has an original style that began when he taught himself to play boogie-woogie piano at age eleven in 1956. Hazell is considered by many to be one of the finest and most creative harmonica players in the music world. He is an inductee into the IOWA BLUES HALL OF FAME and the IOWA MUSIC ASSOCIATION ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME.
The Iowa Blues All Stars
The Iowa Blues All Stars are Bob Dorr-vocals, zydeco tie, harp and drums, Jeff Petersen-guitar, vocals and Doug Norton-bass, vocals from Bob Dorr and the Blue Band. Bob Dorr and Jeff Peterson are inductees into the Iowa Blues and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
Dartanyan Brown
Dartanyan Brown began his musical life in the 1960s playing folk music while at North High School in Des Moines. But after Dartanyan picked up the bass, he never looked back. In 1988 Dartanyan moved to San Francisco where he continued to pursue a musical career as player and producer. In 2016 Dartanyan moved back to Des Moines, much to the delight of local jazz fans who remember him from his work in the 1970s and 80s. Dartanyan is an inductee into the Iowa Blues, Jazz and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
