Saturday November 3rd The Bolling Green Massacre is back at Lefty’s with English and Dead Emperors! Three bands from Iowa that truly represent the “Iowa Sound”.
9pm – $8
The Bolling Green Massacre – Alt-rock, blues rock, prog folk, not polka. Protest rock for a new era of fascism. RYAN O’RIEN is well known for his unique brand of rhythm rock rooted in Irish and English folklore, Atlantic sea songs and commentary on social stryfe. When the nation’s political climate took a turn for the toxic, Ryan formed THE BOWLING GREEN MASSACRE and immediately started writing music to reflect the anxiety of the right-minded thinkers of the world.
RYAN O’RIEN & THE BGM are taking stages across the Midwest to deliver a politically charged but uplifting 70s style original rock reminiscent of Warren Zevon and Lou Reed with just a touch of Jethro Tull.
English – A 6-piece “tater tot casserole rock” band combining a tight rhythm section, blistering horns and dynamic lead vocals from knee-deep in the heartland.
Hans Decker – trumpet
Tommy Doggett – saxophone
Christopher English – vocals/guitar
Justin Goes – bass
Matthew Miller – guitar
Shane Mills – drums
Dead Emperors – Former members of Mad Monks from Iowa City. The Dead Emperors have fused prog rock into Midwest grit rock. Matthew Larson – Guitar & Vocals,
Evan Chadwick – Guitar,
Claire Theole – Bass & Vocals
Eric Dirks – Drums
