House Party Hosted by MarKus
MarKaus is back to host the second monthly House Party at Lefty’s. The Kansas City-born, Des Moines-based rapper will be joined by Lazer 103.3’s Nadia Valentine to host, with a Dj and hip-hop and spoken word performances by local artists. Sponsored by MarKaus’ record label, Des Moines’ nonprofit Station 1 Records, House Party not only showcases quality, local, meaningful music, but also provides a space for discussion on social and political issues. 30 percent of all ticket sales will be donated to three charities: Drake CREW Scholars, Urban Dreams, and YESS.
